Systems Biomedicine
Activities
Francisco Azuaje works at the intersection of computational, biological and translational research. His team harnesses research resources and approaches in vitro, in vivo and in silico. This enables the development of novel computational methodologies, biological discoveries and clinically-motivated applications. He focuses on making sense of large and diverse sources of biological data to improve the way patients are stratified for prognostic and therapeutic purposes. A central challenge is to establish biologically-meaningful connections between patient-specific molecular profiles, their clinical outcomes and candidate therapeutic strategies. His team emphasizes the integrated analysis of disease states and clinically-relevant features in the context of complex biological networks.
