ABSTRACT
Coordination of cell metabolic programs with fate decisions is a fundamental determinant of immune responses. Emerging evidence highlights that the interplay between immune signaling and metabolic programming orchestrates the activation and differentiation of T cells that further impact the outcome of adaptive immunity. The seminar discussion will include our recent findings regarding how mTOR and nutrient signaling pathways shape T cell metabolism and immune responses, and the application of systems immunology approaches to reconstruct metabolic signaling circuits and identify new therapeutic targets (Karmaus, Nature 565:101-105, 2019; Shi et al, Immunity 51:1012-1027, 2019; and Wei, Nature 576:471–476, 2019).

About the Lecture & Workshop series - Infection & Immunity
The LIH Lecture Series and Workshops in Infection and Immunity, supported by the FNR, are gathering internationally recognised speakers to address topics around Infection and Immunity. Lectures will be organised, followed by workshops especially dedicated to early-stage researchers. Please find here the programme for 2020.
Attendance to the lectures and workshops are free of charge. Should you be interested in registering for the workshops, please feel free to do so by sending us an email.
