The ESSKA- AOSSM travelling fellowship is an international exchange program for promising young orthopaedic surgeons. It is run in collaboration of the European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA with its luxembourgish president Prof. Dr. Romain Seil) with the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine Surgery (AOSSM). Part of their journey will bring them to the headquarters in Luxembourg of ESSKA, where they will take part in a scientific symposium in Neumünster Abbey.

The presentations will be in English and are destined for medical doctors, scientists, physiotherapists and all interested persons.


The lecture is free to attend and eligible as "formation continue" for teachers and sport physios.

About the Luxembourgish Academy of Sports Medicine, Sports Physiotherapy and Sports ScienCE

The Luxembourgish Academy of Sports Medicine, Sports Physiotherapy and Sports Science is  composed of LIH's Sport Medicine Research Laboratory (SMRL), the Luxembourg Society of Sports Physiotherapy (SLKS), the Luxembourgish Sports Medicine Society (SLMS), the Luxembourg Institute of Research in Orthopedics, Sports Medicine and Science (LIROMS) and collaborates with the Sports Clinic of Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL).
The events organised by the Academy are gathering internationally recognised speakers to address recent topics around sports medicine, sport science, physical activity and research.
