Speaker: Clare Ardern, PhD (Linköping University, Sweden)

Clare is an Australian physiotherapist and sports medicine researcher from Linköping University, Sweden. Her main research interests are returning to sport after injury and how quality systematic reviews can help practitioners to make quality decisions in practice. Clare has published widely on return to sport, with a special focus on the importance of psychological factors to returning to sport after injury.

The presentation will be in English and is destined for medical doctors, scientists, trainers, athletes as well as the broader public.

The lecture is free to attend and eligible as "formation continue" for teachers and sport physios.

The Luxembourgish Academy of Sports Medicine, Sports Physiotherapy and Sports Science is  composed of LIH's Sport Medicine Research Laboratory (SMRL), the Luxembourg Society of Sports Physiotherapy (SLKS), the Luxembourgish Sports Medicine Society (SLMS), the Luxembourg Society of Research in Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine (SLROMS) and collaborates with the Sports Clinic of Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL).
The events organised by the Academy are gathering internationally recognised speakers to address recent topics around sports medicine, sport science, physical activity and research.
